How to Proof Yeast

1. Warm the liquids

-Measure the water and/or milk called for in your recipe to 110℉-120℉




2. Add sugar

-The sugar helps feed the yeast. Stir until the sugar dissolves.


3. Add yeast and rest

-Mix in the yeast, and set aside.



4. Wait 5-10 minutes until foamy

-After 5-10 minutes, you will see lots of foam and bubbles. Proceed with your recipe! (If you don't see bubbles, the yeast might be old and you should start over with a new packet of yeast)
